- BioSTAMP has been developed to improve and ease shipping
and storage of clinical and critical samples (blood, saliva, urine,
semen, CSF, swabs, etc.).
- Shipping and storage of samples can be done at room temperature (for storages longer than 1 week, we recommend 4 ºC).
- DNA can be purified from samples stored in BioSTAMP after long storage times (up to years).
- RNA can be purified from one week-old samples stored in BioSTAMP.
- The DNA is easily recovered using the Bloodclean
kit, and can be used in amplification reactions.
- Conveniently packed: each bag contains three BioSTAMP.

BioSTAMP is divided into three different areas, as seen in the figure: one area for the sample (white, with adhesive material on the back, where the sample has to be placed) - which is folded up and closed, preventing foreign DNA contamination -, one area for sample identification (grey), and one area for handling (orange).
