- Identification of all four Plasmodium species causing malaria in human beings, from most blood samples.
- Patented technology, developed by BIOTOOLS. No need to perform different amplifications for each Plasmodium species.
- The kit can detect parasitaemia levels as low as 0.01 - 0.001 %, which makes it suitable for detection of latent infections and/or post-treatment surveys.
- Detection of mixed infections in a single kit, even when one species in underrepresented.
- Control DNAs: non-infective control DNAs included in the kit make visualisation and analysis of results easier, and intra-tube internal control (human DNA) to prevent false negative results.
