• Detection and identification of vertebrate material in fresh and processed samples (even highly processed samples, e.g. animal feed).
• Detection is based on amplification of vertebrate-specific sequences.
• Sensitivity: down to 0.5-5 % of vertebrate material can be detected.¹
• Identification is achieved by RFLP analysis, showing unique restriction patterns corresponding to a given species. Up to 3 different species can be identified simultaneously.²
• Reagents for all amplification steps included in the kit: DNA amplification, DNA typing, control DNAs (upon customer's choice). Unless indicated otherwise, included control DNAs are pork, turkey, chicken and goat. DNA purification kit included on demand.
• Control DNAs avoid false negative results due to amplification inhibition.
